MVP is usually asymptomatic but might present with mitral regurgitation symptoms. Characterized by mid-systolic click and late systolic murmur best heard at the apex. Usually, no treatment of further action is needed. Treat with beta blockers if symptomatic. If TIA happens give aspirin. If recurrent or CVA happen, then anticoagulant is recommended. Surgery for significant MR or complicated structural cases like ruptured chorda.
